I am from Basel, where I grew up and first discovered photography as a child with my parents’ Minolta HiMatic. After experimenting with analog and early digital cameras, I transitioned to the Fuji system in 2016, which marked the beginning of my deeper engagement with the medium. Self-taught, I moved beyond snapshots to explore the craft and its creative possibilities. My work today centers on street and landscape photography, complemented by projects in documentary, architectural, infrared, and astrophotography. Rooted in the city where I grew up, my street photography reflects everyday life in Basel, capturing fleeting moments that tell stories of the urban environment.
Ich komme aus Basel, wo ich aufgewachsen bin und als Kind mit der Minolta HiMatic meiner Eltern die Fotografie für mich entdeckte. Nach ersten Erfahrungen mit analogen und frühen Digitalkameras wechselte ich 2016 zum Fuji-System – der Beginn meiner intensiveren Auseinandersetzung mit dem Medium. Als Autodidakt entwickelte ich meine Praxis über Schnappschüsse hinaus und erforschte das Handwerk und seine kreativen Möglichkeiten. Heute liegt mein Schwerpunkt auf der Straßen- und Landschaftsfotografie, ergänzt durch Projekte in den Bereichen Dokumentation, Architektur-, Infrarot- und Astrofotografie. Verwurzelt in meiner Heimatstadt Basel, spiegelt meine Straßenfotografie das alltägliche Leben wider und hält flüchtige Momente fest, die Geschichten des urbanen Raums erzählen.
Soy de Basilea, donde crecí y descubrí la fotografía de niño con la Minolta HiMatic de mis padres. Después de experimentar con cámaras análogas y digitales tempranas, en 2016 me pasé al sistema Fuji, lo que marcó el inicio de una relación más profunda con el medio. De manera autodidacta, fui más allá de las fotos casuales para adentrarme en el oficio y en sus posibilidades creativas. Hoy mi trabajo se centra en la fotografía de calle y de paisaje, complementado con proyectos documentales, arquitectónicos, de infrarrojo y de astrofotografía. Con raíces en la ciudad donde crecí, mi fotografía urbana refleja la vida cotidiana en Basilea y captura instantes fugaces que cuentan historias del entorno urbano.
